YouTuber Neil Saldana-O’Brien created this amazing GTAV-inspired music video featuring Gaslamp Killer’s Nissim.
Breakthrough is the first studio album by American alternative-hip hop producer The Gaslamp Killer.
Los Angeles-based independent record label Brainfeeder released the album on September 17, 2012.
This fan-made music video is fantastic. It’s deep. Neil Saldana-O’Brien, the music video creator, did an outstanding job portraying the parallels between the deer and Trevor. I watch some of his other YouTube videos, and I can say he creates beautiful and creative work.
The song has a richly arranged Turkish soul groove with a break-beat bounce to it. The best part about it? They played every instrument live.
“I was listening to this old Turkish song over and over, and I said to myself, ‘Lord, this is too good. I don’t wanna just loop it like I used to. I should get with some musicians and recreate this. ‘ So I got [producer] Daedelus on bass, and Amir Yaghmai from Jogger on guitar and Yaylı tambur, and we just jammed. It sounded so good that Amir offered to bring in some Middle Eastern professionals he knew, and then they redid it while I sat in and directed the band.”The Gaslamp Killer
